The Best Bite in the Neighborhood
The Café was opened in the summer of 2012 as a place for our Founder, Penelope, to share her love of food and travel. The various locals that have become "regulars" over the years have helped influence the growth of the café. In the Fall of 2024, Penelope handed the business to her brother and sister in law, Alex and Kaya, who now own and manage the Café with their dedicated team of staff.

The interior was designed with the charming patisseries of Paris in mind, and it evolved from there. The Bella Beach community offers a quaint, cozy corner that's surrounded by forest and is just a few blocks from the beach. It was the exact atmosphere that Penelope envisioned.

They sold the business to Tony’s brother Alex Perez and his wife Kaya Perez in October 2024, and they continue the family tradition of great coffee, delicious food and a relaxing ambiance surrounded by local art!
Local Artistry
We also promote the arts by using our wall space as an "open" gallery for local skill to be displayed, in addition to offering a variety of classic literature for leisurely reading. It's common to meet one or more of our artists who frequent the café, so stop by for a treat and some great conversation!

Inspired by indulgence and balanced with Oregon's bounty, we strive to make a classic European fare with a personal touch. We proudly use produce from local farms, stores, and purveyors including Cafe Umbria & Provvista.
